“Delhi Excise Scam Case: Former Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia’s Judicial Custody Extended by 14 Days”

Manish Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister of Delhi, had his judicial custody extended until April 3rd by a court on Monday.

The case involves an investigation by the CBI into the excise policy. Sisodia is currently in the custody of the Enforcement Directorate in a related case.

The senior AAP leader appeared virtually in front of Special Judge M.K. Nagpal, who extended his custody. Sisodia’s request for bail will be heard by the court on Tuesday. On March 9th, the ED arrested Sisodia at Tihar jail, where he was being held for the CBI investigation into alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-defunct Delhi Excise Policy case.
