Delhi’s courthouses have witnessed two incidents of gunfire in less than two years. One of these incidents took place on September 24, 2021, at the Rohini Court Complex, where three individuals, including the alleged gangster Jitender Gogi, were murdered in a courtroom.
Gogi was brought to Courtroom 207 that morning as a defendant, and two men posing as solicitors were waiting for him. The attackers shot and killed Gogi, which led to the Delhi Police retaliating and killing the two assailants.
Additionally, there was a low-intensity explosion that occurred in December 2021 at the Rohini court due to personal animosity between an accused and a lawyer.
